The Theoretical Equation of Nonlinear Viscoelastic Polymeric Materials

Kim Eung-Ryul
Abstract
The theoretical equation of stress-strain derived from the three element model by Halsey-Eyring, was applied to non-linear viscoelastic polymeric materials(PET, Pan fibers). The experimental stress-strain curves of polymer were obtained in air, and distilled water at various temperatures. The model parameters, ¥á, ¥â, G©û and G©ü were evaluated by comparing the data obtained from the experiments to the theoretical, and the thermodynamic parameters were evaluated by analyzing the temperature dependence of realxation times. The theoretial equation of stress-strain curve is

f=G©üS+- 1n(K+??¡¤tanh (----------)t+ tanh??------- )
